Traditional turkmen headdress made of german silver inlaid with beautiful dark red and dark green and one blue glass stones. The headpiece is sewn onto a black fabric to make it comfortable to wear and cotton cords are attached on both sides to firmly tie it around your head. On each side of the headpiece are two longer attachments also inlaid with glass stones that add even more beauty to this piece.
These types of headdress are traditional worn by brides all over central asia. The turkmen people in afghanistan originate from the turkic tribes of central asia who arrived in afghanistan as refuges in the 1920s and 1930s. This beautiful piece was handmade by very talented turkmen artisans and has the unique craftsmanship and great quality to them.
